What an interesting idea, a senior monitoring system. Our society has used child monitoring software for many years and find that it is very convenient and helps us be more attentive to a child's needs. Now we are starting to think in another dimension, our seniors need the same care and attention. Many adult children of seniors do not live within a close proximity to their parents so they sometimes feel that they are unable to attend adequately to their parents needs. A senior monitoring system may be a welcome aid with this kind of dilemma. Installing a remote video monitoring system in a seniors home and having it hooked up to a family member's residence may be a way of being able to watch the aging adult without having to have them feel like they are losing their independence. A senior monitoring system would give a family member or hired care taker the ability to see and hear first hand if there are problems that the senior is having. Many seniors wear bracelets or necklaces that are life line type of things but many times the senior is not able to activate their aid. With the use of a senior monitoring system many more of their immediate needs may be detected and emergent care available sooner than later.
