Using a video monitoring system to keep watch over the very young and the very old is a good way insure that they are safe and secure. Some people use child monitoring software to make sure that their baby sitters or nannys are treating them well, and the kids are not being mistreated or abused. Likewise, a senior monitoring system can allow an older person to stay in their home longer, which can be more comfortable for them than living in an assisted living facility.
Many of the monitoring systems use wireless communication signals, so there is no worry if the power goes out or the phone line is cut. Some of the senior monitoring system providers give the seniors a pendant or wrist band to wear, so if they fall, they will be able to alert the monitoring center, who will call the appropriate family, friends, or agency to help the person. Falling is the number one cause of injuries to senior citizens, so making sure that they are able to access help wherever they land is one major reason to equip them with such a monitoring system. |
